Plurky Blogger Challenge - Oldies But Goodies

When I first heard about the plurky blogger challenge that Alysha Rennahan was holding I was excited.   As a new blogger, the opportunity to extend my skills and hopefully get to know a few more people was way too attractive to turn down. However, upon finding out that the first challenge was an oldies but goodies challenge, that excitement turned to nervousness.  You see, I scrape into the year or older category by about 2 weeks, so I had no idea if I was going to be able to even pull an outfit off!

Fortunately, after many hours of checking acquired by dates, I realised that I shopped my little butt off when I first came to SL, some things don't change really, and was able to put together an entire outfit outfit that I'm really happy with.  Everything, from the skin up just makes it through on the year or older list, so onto the good stuff:

This challenge turned out to be a lot of fun, sorting through inventory and finding long forgotten bits and pieces that I'm sure will be making a come back into my daily wardrobe any time now.  I can only imagine how interesting a journey this was for people who have been around for a few years!

Miel-y Goodness

I love LOVE love the newest addition to the Miel closet!  The new dandy dress and boots would have to be one of the cutest outfits I have seen for a long time.  There is a fair bit of prim editing required to get it fit, or at least there was for me, so I would say it's not an outfit for the prim uninitiated, but if you don't mind spending a little bit of time fiddling, you too can have this cuteness all to your very self.

 

I'm wearing the plum version but the whole outfit is available in a variety of colours that you can mix and match to your liking, that and the dandy puff (not shown) makes a gorgeous finishing touch to the whole outfit.

Also, I have to point out, Miel shoes are probably one of the best steals in SL of late and I don't think I am ever going to take these boots off!  Available in 5 colours all for the price of one and you can mix and match the leather, trim and sole colours to your hearts content!  Definitely a bargain for just over $400L.

Home & Garden Hunt

Better late than never right?

This was kind of the motto of my Home & Garden Hunt experience this year.  So it seems fitting that I would finally blog about it after the hunt was finished!

You see, as I've indicated before I'm actually not much of a hunt person as I have very little tolerance for major ass lag, this is why I will never be the first at a fair or in a hunt.  But a birdy told me the Home and Garden Hunt was well worth the effort...and they were right.  There were definitely some awesome finds to be had.

I Heart ATOMIC!

Atomic, hands down, would be in my top 3 favourite shops of all time in SL, now that is a big call when you think about it right?  It is one of those stores, that no matter how many times I visit, I always find something new to buy and it almost always becomes my instant favourite of the week. 

With that said, for some unknown reason, I've never paid a huge amount of attention to the skins created by Ivy Graves.  I honestly have no idea why, it's a little retarded when I think about, given that I own at least one of nearly every item in her store!  Anywho, after getting the stumblebum list this morning, I trotted off to Atomic to see the 3 skins that were up as part of this weeks offerings, seriously... how the hell have I not noticed these before?   I am officially in love! 

The texture of her skins is just divine and the make up is nice and subtle, but with enough flair to keep it interesting.  They probably aren't the type of skin you are going to find a glammapuss model wearing but they are just perfect for me.  From the second I tried the demo I knew I had found my new skin! 

So here is my ode to Atomic for the day, don't be surprised to see them pop up, a lot!

I've been meaning to blog this outfit for over a week now!  I'm utterly in love with this dress from So Many Styles, it has such a boho feel to it, which is perfect for my mood lately and the fri.day hair just seems to work a treat!  This outfit brings out my tree lovin' side, I feel like I could spend hours walking through flower fields, taking in the beauty of simplicity.

I've been a bad girl

Sounds juicy doesn't it?

There has been SO much going on in world lately, hunts and more hunts as far as the eye can see, shoe fair, people getting ready for hair fair, really people... SLOW DOWN, its hard for a simple girl like me to keep up!

Under normal circumstances i'm not a big hunt fan, I find you have to put in a heap of effort to maybe if you are lucky come across one or two things that may appeal to you but seriously, the platinum hunt is gold!  (Yeah yeah i know, platinum, gold... big difference...  just roll with me)

I've also been hard at work kinda doing a to me from me present for my Rez Day, i'm nearly 1...yippee!
